Hi, I’m Tara Kay Skeen—singer, dancer, traveler, and lifelong fashion enthusiast turned entrepreneur. Fashion has always been a part of my life. I grew up learning the art of color analysis from my mom and helped her teach fashion and etiquette classes. Over the last several years, I traveled extensively through Europe, soaking in the fashion scenes of France, Italy, England, and beyond. From attending fashion shows at Galeries LaFayette to building relationships with local boutique owners, I stayed on top of the latest trends. 

 I hold two bachelor’s degrees—one in Communications and Ballroom Dance from Brigham Young University, and another in Vocal Performance from Southern Virginia University. My career path took me to Washington, D.C., where I spent several years immersed in the world of government, working on Capitol Hill in both the House and Senate, and later in fundraising. It was here that I honed my understanding of the classic D.C. fashion scene.

After a fast-paced career in politics, I felt the call to make a change. I left my job, spent a few months rediscovering the vibrant fashion landscape of Europe, and launched my own fashion consulting business—True Style.
